Looney Tunes cartoons always close with "That's all folks..." And it's true. Today marks the end of our three weeks together. Good students (and humans), as we know, reflect upon themselves. They think about how they can improve and grow. I see, as I have said, so much growth in many of you from the beginning of your freshman year to now! It is truly awesome. Take a second right now, to think about summer school and yourself as a student.
1. What did you do very well this summer that you'd like to bring into the school year?
2. What is something you know you still need to work on in the school year? (behavior, participation, grammar, reading aloud, etc.)
3. What is the thing you are most proud of this summer about your performance?
I liked that I can express my feeling when writing( or blogging) more fluently so that i can become a great writer. I think the thing i need to work on is probably my hand writing.(a lot) I'm proud of the thought and time that I put into blogging and expressing what i believe and people challenging mine and help them to see a different point of view.
ReplyDeleteLike Ted , I've expressed myself very well In writing this summer. That's usually hard for me to do.I would have to say participation In class would be something I'm going to have to work on. I know most of the answer's to questions but I wont raise my hand unless I'm called on.Well I actually have an interest in school now really. I really didn't before this and It wasn't that long ago.Now though I actually care.That would be what I'm proud of.

ReplyDelete1. I think I did a very good job reading the book. I never read a book that fast in forever, and I actually really liked it.
ReplyDelete2.I know I need to work on my essay's. I don't like writing essays so I feel like I don't do a good job at them.
3.I'm mostly proud that I understood the class, and that I learned a lot about Chicago. The class wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. I really enjoyed the class, and everything we did.
Ted - Honestly I do not know ted you differ In views with me so you can hold A conversation. Very good ones might I add ,and you are not scared to express your views which I choose to acknowledge.Think of It as A compliment to your great mind.
ReplyDelete1.I tryed really hard on all my paper's in summer school and didn't do so good on my paper freshmen year so next year i want to work really hard because working is going to get me somewhere good. 2.Behavior and reading aloud because i need to get better at that and we are going to be doing that all year long next year. 3. i have an b- or b+ something like that but last year i had a every low f because i didn't try working hard and in summer school I tryed my best at every thing we did.

ReplyDelete2. I would like to work on my discipline because I had a lot of trouble with that freshman year, I don't want to end up ion discipline class again for the lack of behavior in school.

ReplyDeleteI would do my work in the school year, like my writing that help me a lot this summer and would like to do in the school year. I would work on more participation because i do like saying thing out loud not because in shy or anything is that i know i might get it wrong. That i was reading more then I ever did but its okay because it was a book that it was good and not boring.

3.I fill like I have grown up this year.
1. During the school I wasn't loud. I was not putting myself out there, nor was I participating as I did here. Blogging really gave me that confidence that I lack of toward my writing skills. I would like to take this new self that's been hiding in me to next year.
ReplyDelete2. I did not have trouble with my behavior in summer school, but I did have trouble with my behavior in the school year. I know what I need to do for this next year to not get so many detentions. I also had a problem with not giving my best work everyday. I was getting lazy toward the middle of year, and I can't let that happen any more.
3. I am proud that I now have confidence in all my work that I complete. I could see that I am now being the student I should have been during the school year. I am also proud that I I'm grabbing stuff that I am learning right away and keeping it. Usually, I would not always do that, but now it just sinks in. I would like to take all this with me to start off strong and finish off stronger.
1. The thing that I can bring into the school year without a doubt is the amount of focus I put into this class. The amount of improvement that I have shown can really help my grades. That is something that I can use in the futrue.
ReplyDelete2. I would say that the amount of participation is the thing that I need to improve on. I mean, I did participate, but not very often. Thats a thing that I would like to change.
3. The amount of effort that I put in to this class is what I'm proud of. This proved that I am capable of many things if I just put my head to it. That's all I ever wanted to do was to succeed, not to fail.
